Denis O’Brien is an Irish entrepreneur who founded several companies and a philanthropist deeply involved with global humanitarian causes. Denis O’Brien founded Digicel Group Ltd., Esat Telecom Group plc, Communicorp and other companies. He is the current chairman at Digicel Group and is former chairman of Communicorp, a company that was acquired from O’Brien in 2021. O’Brien also served as CEO and chairman of Esat Telecom Group. He holds an undergraduate degree from University College Dublin, received his MBA from Boston College and has two honorary Doctor of Laws degrees.
